I started Sun and Moonstone Co. in the winter of 2017, during a time of big change. Many of my closest friends had just moved away, and I found myself searching for connection and something meaningful to pour my energy into. On a whim, I signed up for a jewelry-making class at Bathing Beauties Beads in my hometown of Missoula, Montana—and something clicked.

That first class was empowering. For the first time, I had the skills and confidence to create jewelry that reflected my personal style. I was hooked. Every weekend after that, I’d head to the back table at Bathing Beauties to practice and play. The community there welcomed me with open arms. They shared their tools, taught me new techniques, and cheered me on as I found my creative voice. Those early days shaped not only my craft but also my sense of belonging.

After a few months, I launched Sun and Moonstone Co. on Etsy and Instagram. What started as a personal outlet slowly grew into something more—a small business rooted in connection, creativity, and care.

Over the years, I’ve loved being part of local events like the Missoula People’s Market, the Made Fairs, and other pop-ups that bring artists and community together. It’s been such a joy to share my work in person and meet the folks who wear and gift my pieces.
